Celades: "The team did a great job and we should be proud"

Albert Celades' first Champions League game in charge of Valencia CF ended in victory against Chelsea, and the coach addressed the media after the win to give his thoughts on the result.
The victory
"The dressing room is very happy. The team did a great job, and we hope that from now on people only talk about our football and look ahead."
Set pieces
"I don't know if they were worked on under the previous coach, but since the game against Barça we have begun working on dead ball situations and other aspects of our play."
A new start after the win
"Let's hope that from now on we start to talk about football and the rumblings about external things ends. I hope we can look ahead with today's victory. It was so difficult and took so much effort from the players. When you get to a situation like this, competing in the Champions League in such a competitive world, you want to hold onto it with all your might and not let go. The players showed their commitment. We should be proud of the commitment the squad showed to the club and to the fans."
"The players know that it takes a lot to win against a side like Chelsea, at a ground like this. I've never felt alone here, and have always felt that I have the support of the players."
Time for improvements since his arrival
"You can introduce a few changes. Yesterday we were able to work on some things and we're happy, because we saw a few of them coming off on the pitch today. The credit goes to the players; we try to help them with certain situations that could come about in specific moments."
Guedes as a substitute and Parejo's statement
"Guedes was my decision. There's no problem there. Parejo is our captain, a very important player and it's a luxury to have a footballer like that. Dani is the player who gives you that pause, who links together the passes, and he is very important to us playing that way."
Time needed to make his mark
"I don't have any ego about making any mark. The only thing that I want is to work. I was appointed for a job and I'm going to try to do it in the best way possible. We have very little time to train, as we're playing every three days. We did a little work on set pieces and tried to incorporate some good things to all that the team already had, which is a lot. I'm not trying to make any mark; I just try to get the best performance out of each player."
